MASTERS APPAREL SURFACE DESIGN
My full-time role as Lead Creative Designer at Augusta National Golf Club is housed within the Merchandise Department. One of my primary assignments is delivering print and pattern surface design for six separate in-house golf apparel lines.
Augusta National prides itself on attention to detail, and that core value influences every piece of merchandise we design – golf shirts included. Whether it’s the Club’s famous flowers or the modestly-priced, picnic-style concessions, our novelty prints all capture some element of the unique storytelling around the Masters in an effort to create a shopping experience unlike those at any other sporting event.

VICE CAMPAIGN
The Miami Heat’s Vice uniform made waves in 2017 when it was released as the team’s first “City Edition” jersey from Nike. I supported Brett Maurer in the uniform design process and wrote the brand story and strategy for the visual campaign which was art directed by Manuel Fabian.
The uniform design won the 2018 Clio Grand in Design. The campaign won a 2018 Clio Gold in Integrated Campaign.

MIAMI LAKES GOLF CLUB
Founded in 1962, Miami Lakes Golf Club is a classic-style course located in the beautiful town of Miami Lakes. After many years operating under a different name, and having undergone several suboptimal course changes, MLGC was redesigned again in 2025 with the aim to restore some of the course’s original character.
I worked with Danny Martinez of the Graham Companies (which owns and operates the property) to develop a brand identity that honors the Club’s past and its place in the Miami Lakes community while looking ahead to an exciting future as one of South Florida’s premier golf courses. My work included logo design, strategy, brand guidelines, merchandise, and print collateral.

FIVE STRIPE FINAL
Five Stripe Final is an independent sports media outlet and online community covering Atlanta United FC and soccer in Atlanta, Georgia since 2017. FSF hosts podcasts, written content, and of course, the World Famous Five Stripe Final Discord channel.
In 2023, the Five Stripe Final crew decoupled their content from SB Nation where they began as part of the Dirty South Soccer blog. I worked with Joe, Sam, and Rob to develop a logo and typography system distinct from previous ownership’s brand umbrella – one that was more specific to the channel and community they created.

MASTERS PRODUCT LOOKBOOK
Unlike most other retail businesses, there is no advertising or marketing to speak of as it relates to Masters merchandise. You can only purchase these goods on-site at the tournament, and that exclusivity creates its own market. There is little need to show the “outside world” what is only sold in-person, and therefore little reason to create high-end, product-centric creative content. Or so we thought. When leadership wanted to create a physical “leave behind” book showcasing our business operations and our product lines to current and potential vendors, we found the lack of high-quality photo assets to be a bit of an obstacle.
To create the required images, I worked with Brent Cline – an immensely talented photographer based nearby in South Carolina – to produce the photography. Weeks before he visited, I built and shared mood boards and an art direction playbook with Brent. We worked together on a two-day product shoot that covered hundreds of SKUs and utilized locations in our stores and across Club grounds. The resulting images were stunning thanks to Brent’s expertise and provided me with the assets I needed to write and lay out a beautiful and informative book.

ATLANTA FALCONS BRAND PLAYBOOK
To coincide with the Atlanta Falcons new uniform release in April 2020, I worked with AMBSE’s creative team to write and copyedit a comprehensive brand standards manual including a brand manifesto and positioning.
Subsequently I worked with the Falcons in-house creative team on an internal capabilities deck as well as a manifesto for Atlanta Falcons Girls Flag Football.

TASTE OF THE MASTERS
Part of the allure of attending the Masters is the exclusivity of purchasing anything related to the tournament experience. Opportunities to purchase tickets are distributed via a random lottery, souvenirs can only be purchased on-site during the tournament, and the world famous concessions program could only be enjoyed while walking the course – until 2023.
In an effort to expand access to those “patrons” watching from home, the Club began the Taste of the Masters program. Those fans who were not on-site could pre-order signature Masters pimento cheese, egg salad, and pork barbecue to be delivered in containers the week of the Masters. I designed the logo and packaging for this program (which sold out in a matter of hours). Augusta National continues this program and has since expanded the offering.

In 2022, Director of Brand Development Michael Benford reached out to me to help rewrite the brand guidelines for the organization. This 76-page document included a brand manifesto as well as standard passages on visual assets, positioning, and language. After the success of this engagement I later worked with Michael’s team writing copy for an internal ‘Brand 101’ deck, a Fan Personas strategy deck, and the naming of the competition series that would eventually become the Allstate Continental Clásico.

HEAT NATION CAMPAIGN
In the summer of 2014 after four straight trips to the NBA Finals, LeBron James unexpectedly announced he was leaving the Miami Heat and returning to the Cleveland Cavaliers, sending shockwaves through the NBA. In the wake of this abrupt change, I conceived the brand strategy and wrote the manifesto that powered “Heat Nation” – a multichannel campaign; a forward-looking call-to-arms; a love letter to the City of Miami and Heat fans everywhere.

MASTERS PRODUCT DESIGN
In my role as Lead Designer at Augusta National Golf Club, a large portion of my design workload is focused within my home department – Merchandising. Outside of surface design for print and pattern in apparel, I also have the opportunity to design merchandise and its packaging for a broad array of items for sale in the golf shops around the course during the Masters tournament including drinkware, home goods, commemorative pins, golf accessories like bag tags and ballmarkers, and of course, the infamous Masters Gnome.

MIAMI HEAT LEGACY UNIFORM
The Miami Heat Creative Services team began collaborating with adidas in 2014 on design direction for team uniform programs; previously the design process was managed separately by the apparel vendor and the NBA. With 82 games in the regular season, the league began to see uniforms as an opportunity to expand the franchises’ brand storytelling by introducing additional alternate uniforms for select games. This aligned with the Miami Heat’s existing marketing strategy (indeed, the NBA was likely influenced by the Heat to some degree).
As part of this collaborative process, I designed the Miami Heat’s Legacy uniform and subsequently spearheaded writing and curating the brand story for the associated visual campaign. The Legacy uniform and campaign celebrated the Heat’s historic color-themed playoff campaigns focusing on red, white, and black. The uniforms debuted during the 2015-16 NBA season and were worn for 9 games and 4 games the following season.

WECO is an elevator service and repair company that has been serving Central Massachusetts since 1955. I worked with Paul and Tim at Worcester Elevator to modernize the company’s brand identity and visuals including their logo system, typography, website, uniforms, and print collateral.
